Founded in 2003, Avalon University School of Medicine (AUSOM) is an accredited medical school located on the Caribbean island of Curaçao. It is chartered and recognized by the Government of Curaçao. The charter entitles AUSOM to grant the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree to students who have successfully completed the medical school’s curricular requirements. As an accredited medical school, AUSOM adopts a North American curriculum-based medical program, and the graduates are geared for medical practice in the United States and Canada.
