Ohio State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) has announced that Ohio’s tourism industry attracted more than 240 million visitors in 2024. The sector generated over $57 billion in revenue, supporting many local businesses and attractions across the state, according to data from the Ohio Department of Development.
Robb Blasdel, a member of the House Arts, Athletics, and Tourism Committee, highlighted the role of Ohio’s parks and historic sites in drawing tourists. “Our state parks and historic sites are treasures for residents and visitors alike,” said Rep. Robb Blasdel. “We encourage everyone to explore these unique destinations and enjoy all our great state has to offer.”
She pointed out several destinations within her district as examples of what Ohio offers visitors. These include Beaver Creek State Park, a 2,722-acre park in Columbiana County featuring remnants of the Sandy and Beaver Canal; Hellbender Bluff County Park in Lisbon with its hiking and biking trails; and Atwood Lake Park, which provides renovated campsites, cabins, fishing spots, hiking areas, and more along Atwood Lake.
TourismOhio—a division of the Ohio Department of Development—continues efforts to promote Ohio as a destination for adventure or as a place to live.
