COLUMBUS, OH — State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) announced today that $1,651,370 has been awarded for a project in Mahoning County. The State Controlling Board approved the measure at a meeting on Monday.

“These funds will help update facilities and ensure they operate in a healthy and safe manner,” said Cutrona. “Investing in these renovations now saves taxpayer dollars and prevents larger, costlier problems down the road.”

The approved project is for construction services at the Ohio State Penitentiary located in Youngstown.

The next State Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for June 17, 2024.
