Please help us in welcoming Jay Gentile and Morgan Ball to Canfield PD. Officer Gentile and Dispatcher Ball took their oaths of office on January 23rd, which was administered by Canfield Mayor Don Dragish. Mayor Dragish and Assistant Chief Scott Weamer had the pleasure of addressing the attendees, which included family, friends, and members of the police department and city administration.

Officer Gentile is a graduate of South Range High School and received a bachelor's degree (Psychology) from Capella University. Officer Gentile will be assigned to the patrol division, as a part-time officer, and will begin his field training program.

Dispatcher Ball is also a graduate of South Range High School and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree (Human Development & Family Studies) from the American Military University. Dispatcher Ball served in the United State Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge with the rank of Corporal. Dispatcher Ball began her training as a part-time dispatcher in December and is progressing well through the training program.
