We have received several complaints about a new scam.
Subjects are calling victims claiming to be Sgt. Davis for the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office, notifying people that they missed jury duty. Subjects are telling victims that they have to pay a fine or they will be arrested.
They are also using Sheriff McLaughlin’s name as a way to convince the victims.
