Greetings!

The Kent State East Liverpool and Salem campuses are busy places these days – and that’s a wonderful thing. We are midway through the semester and my calendar is filling up with all sorts of end-of-the year events such as award banquets, pinning ceremonies, student showcases and the grandest of all: commencement!

Spring is typically a time when we think of new beginnings, but it is also a time to celebrate the culmination of another academic year and the many accomplishments achieved during that time. Still, we will applaud our graduates as they begin their new journeys into careers bolstered by the degrees earned on our campuses. We are all looking forward to these celebrations.

As I continue in the role of interim dean for these two campuses, I gain a greater appreciation for what these campuses mean to their respective communities as well as their significance in the Kent State system. There are amazing people doing amazing things in East Liverpool and Salem!

Through this electronic newsletter, we offer you a glimpse of some of the recent activities involving our students, faculty and staff. Your continued support helps us provide opportunities for students and prepare them for life beyond the classroom. I am sincerely grateful for that support, and I invite you to visit our campuses any time. The welcome mat is always out!
