State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) introduced legislation aimed at protecting Ohio children by prohibiting libraries from distributing certain materials to individuals under the age of 18 without parental or guardian consent.

The bill will identify materials deemed "harmful to juveniles" and mandate that such content requires parental approval. Libraries that distribute these harmful materials to minors without permission from parents will face a loss of state funding.

"This legislation protects Ohio’s minors and supports the authority of parents to have a say in what their children are consuming," said Cutrona.
