Avalon University recognizes that funding your education is one of the biggest challenges that students and their families face. We understand these struggles and provide students with scholarship opportunities for the Premedical and Basic Science semesters.
Our medical schools scholarships for our premedical program would be based off of the students previous school GPA and they are one-time only scholarships. There are four different levels of scholarships with each level awarding different amounts. The scholarships are called – Chancellor scholarship, President scholarship, Dean scholarship and Director scholarship.
Our Basic Science scholarships, which are awarded by the Admissions Committee, are based off cumulative Pre-Med GPA. The scholarship will be applied every semester if the GPA remains above the minimum required. Our medical schools scholarships for the basic science semesters are the Chancellor’s scholarship, President’s scholarship, and Dean’s scholarships. The minimum GPA to be eligible for these scholarships is a 3.20.
Avalon University provides one-time only grants that can be awarded if a 500–700-word essay following the correct prompt is sent to our Bursar. The Avalon Grant, a Hardship Grant, and an Above and Beyond grant.
One of our current AUSOM students, Christlyn Blessing-Ujomor, has applied for one of these grants.
