State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel has announced the introduction of the Fourth Grade History Pass, a program from America 250-Ohio that offers free general admission to history museums and historic sites for all Ohio fourth graders during the 2025-2026 school year.
Robb Blasdel, who is a member of the House Arts, Athletics, and Tourism Committee, stated the initiative aims to provide students with direct experiences related to Ohio’s history. “Fourth grade is when students begin learning about our state’s history in school,” said Rep. Robb Blasdel. “This program helps bring those lessons to life, giving students the chance to explore Ohio’s historic sites and museums firsthand.”
The pass grants free general admission for any Ohio fourth grader accompanied by one paying adult. It can be presented either as a printed or digital pass at participating venues. The offer remains valid through August 31, 2026, covering the entire 2025-2026 academic year. However, it does not apply to group visits, field trips, or special programming.
Among local destinations taking part are the Mahoning Valley Historical Society in Youngstown, the Canton Museum of Art in Canton, and the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum in Canton. Additional museums and historic locations across Ohio are also participating and more are expected to join.
