On Saturday, March 2, former Mercer Area Senior High School standout Taylor Truran’s current college team, the Youngstown State Penguins, lost 9-1 in their NCAA Division I game against the East Carolina Pirates.

The game took place in Greenville, North Carolina. This was their second matchup against the East Carolina Pirates this season.

The Penguins’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 3 at 10 a.m. in Greenville, North Carolina against Saint Joseph's Hawks.
