On Friday, March 1, former Winfield High School standouts Kennedy Dean and Maci Boggess’ current college team, the Youngstown State Penguins, lost 9-3 in their NCAA Division I game against the East Carolina Pirates.

The game took place in Greenville, North Carolina. This was their first matchup against the East Carolina Pirates this season.

The Penguins’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m. in Greenville, North Carolina against Appalachian State Mountaineers.
