Community Spotlight Partner: Soles of Luv visits North Elementary
Earlier today, Soles of Luv visited North Elementary School and fit 16 children with “NEW” shoes, six pairs of socks, hats and gloves for each child. One little boy said, “ I’ve never had a new pair of shoes, It feels like I’m walking on plushy toys!”
Soles of Luv’s mission is to supply new athletic shoes and socks to children in need, restoring both their dignity and joy. With the help of our sponsors and donors, they personally distribute hundreds of shoes and socks per year through our innovative programs. Each child is fit personally by one of our volunteers and receives not only a new pair of athletic shoes, but a spring in their step. “Our reward is watching their little faces light up, and seeing their smiles,” describes founder Cathy Crawford.
