State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel recently visited Columbiana to tour the city’s new emergency response trailer. The state-of-the-art mobile command post was funded by a $250,000 appropriation included in House Bill 33 during the 135th General Assembly. This investment aims to enhance local emergency preparedness.

Rep. Robb Blasdel expressed her satisfaction with securing the funding for this initiative. “I’m proud to have helped secure this funding for the City of Columbiana,” she stated. “This mobile command unit will be a critical tool in keeping our community safe and ensuring first responders are equipped to act quickly and effectively in times of crisis.”

The trailer, designed and built by Mobile Concepts, functions as a fully equipped mobile emergency operations center. It is intended to support local law enforcement, fire services, EMS, and emergency management personnel during large-scale incidents, community events, or natural disasters.
