State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel has been appointed to the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) by Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman. The commission is responsible for enhancing emergency planning and communication across Ohio.

Blasdel expressed her gratitude for the appointment, stating, “I appreciate the opportunity to serve on this important committee and advocate for the health, wellbeing, and safety of the 79th House District and state as a whole.”

SERC comprises nine state agencies including the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Ohio Emergency Management Agency, The Ohio Attorney General’s Office, and others. Additionally, it includes ten voting members representing environmental advocacy, industry trade associations, firefighting, and local government. Two legislative members participate as non-voting members.
